Set Up Website Visitor Tracking

Use the script provided by the ProsperFleet Customer Success team.

There are two ways to add this to your website:

Place in your website's HTML code

You will need access to your website’s code to do this. Or forward the script to the person who maintains your website.

Paste the script in the <head> or <body> area of your website’s HTML code. Place script before the line that says </head> or </body>.

Either will work. Script in the <head> will track faster while the web page loads, but some people like to keep scripts in the <head> to a minimum.

To track visitor data across all pages of your website, include the script on every page.

Use Google Tag Manager

If you have Google Tag Manager set up for your website, create a new tag.

Under Tag Confirmation, choose a tag type, choose “Custom HTML.”

Paste the script in the HTML code area.

Under Triggering, select “All Pages.”

Give this tag a name (something like ProsperFleet Visitor Tracking), then click Save.

On the next screen, describe the change to your tags (like “added ProsperFleet visitor tracking”).

Click Submit. Then be sure to click Publish in the top right corner.

The Google Tag should look like this:

You should now get lists of accounts visiting your website.

Update your website privacy policy about your data collection practices.
