How do I assign users to ProsperVue?
See the User Assignment Guide which shows how to assign users.
How do I set up users in Profile Groups with permissions to use certain features?
When you want to give users differing permissions in ProsperVue, you can assign users to customized Profile Groups. A few reasons why you might want to do this:
- Give some but not all users the ability to export records from Salesforce
- Give some but not all users the ability to add records to campaigns in Salesforce
- Allow some users the ability to Change Owners for records
- Hide some objects from users based on role; for example Service Cloud users might not need to see Leads

In this video, follow along as we set up Contacts as a new Object in the Bottom Panel. We choose fields to show up in the Bottom Panel and put them in order from left to right.

What is the Summary Field and how do I configure it?
The Summary Field appears at the top of the Bottom Panel. It’s a total, so it totals a field that’s populated with numerical values. Choose a field that’s important to your users. This video gives a few examples and shows how to set the Summary Field:
We work with software that doesn't integrate with Salesforce, so we need to export records. How can we do that?
First, for Salesforce Admins, here is how to give permission to export records from Salesforce. Also, see our video about setting up Profile Groups if you do not want all Salesforce users to have permission to export records. Another way to limit data for export is to limit the fields that show in the Bottom Panel. Only fields that show in the Bottom Panel will be exported.
Here is how to set up Profile Groups if you want only some Salesforce users to have capability to export data:
This next video shows Users how to export data from ProsperVue:
I want some users to be able to download records to CSV files, but not everyone. How can I do that?
Here is how to give permission to export records from Salesforce. Also, see our video about setting up Profile Groups if you do not want all Salesforce users to have permission to export records. You can grant permission only to some Profile Groups. Another way to limit data for export is to limit the fields that show in the Bottom Panel. Only fields that show in the Bottom Panel will be exported.
How do I set the radius to control where pins show up on the map?
It’s easy to expand or decrease the radius for pins that show on the map. Simply go to the Geocode tab of ProsperVue Admin page, and at the top, there’s a field for setting Radius Distance:
Some of my users are getting error messages when they click on some features of ProsperVue. What's going on?
Turn off any ad blockers and pop up window blockers.
The Action Buttons are trying to open new pop up windows. You likely have web browser or ad blocker settings to prevent pop ups. Look at your web browser and ad blocker settings. Enable pop up windows or ads to show on Salesforce.
If you’re using Chrome, see the tiny red square over the web browser icon? It’s telling you that pop ups are blocked on this page. In this example, we have AdBlock Plus installed, and that is blocking the pop up windows.
You might also get a message from Salesforce. Click Open, and then the website you clicked – like LinkedIn − will open.
Once you allow pop up windows on Salesforce in browser or ad blocker settings, you should not get this second message again.
