RigDig Alternative: ProsperFleet

There are only a few proprietary data sources about U.S. companies with fleets of vehicles. If you’ve been using trucking and fleet data for lead generation or market analysis, you know this.

These data sources include RigDig, FleetSeek and ProsperFleet. At Valgen, we’ve been doing analytics in fleet and trucking for 15+ years. Our customers’ sales and marketing teams kept asking us for fleet data. This is why we created ProsperFleet, to offer trucking and fleet data that our customers weren’t finding anywhere else:

Light-duty commercial vehicles

ProsperFleet data includes light-duty fleets:

  • Field sales and executive fleets
  • Contractor pickups and cargo van fleet owners
  • “Non-DOT” fleets

This allows you to reach the vast market of field service and facility service fleets, contractors like plumbers and electricians, van and truck fleets doing last mile and local delivery.

This chart gives you an idea of the light-duty market compared to medium and heavy duty.

Number of U.S. commercial vehicles, in millions, owned or leased by companies and government agencies that have 5+ vehicles.

Suppliers serving this light-duty fleet market include telematics, fleet maintenance, fuel cards, insurance, upfitters, parts and tires, and vehicle dealers.

Many of our customers sell to all fleets. We bring the FMCSA and light-duty data together in one place.

Enhancements to FMCSA DOT data

Few trucking databases do significant enhancements in communicating FMCSA data. Often the data is mostly re-organized into online interfaces that simply repeat all the thousands of fields. The sea of numbers can get overwhelming. We want to help you focus on selling, not searching. With ProsperFleet, we simplify to focus on data our sales and marketing customers need.

For email campaigns, outbound calls, and field sales visits, you need to quickly choose many trucking companies that fit your ideal customer. Our data filters are designed with sales and marketing needs in mind, which is different than what shippers and freight brokers need to see.

Many fleet contacts available

Most fleet data sources provide only one or a few contacts. This is because databases using data only from the FMCSA have only the FMCSA contact. These contacts receive a constant avalanche of cold email because they’re easily publicly available. Sometimes the only contacts available are CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, and they aren’t the best contacts for sales outreach.

While ProsperFleet has the FMCSA contacts, we also have many more contacts to help you reach entire buying committees at medium and large fleets. We have job titles for fleet, transportation, maintenance, general managers, operations, safety, DOT compliance, driver training, driver recruiting, HR, finance, procurement/purchasing, public works, EV and sustainability, etc. As well as owner, president and CEO which are great for small fleets.

We regularly re-validate emails. We graded emails so you can choose whether to email to public domains like gmail and hotmail, or the third party services that are common in FMCSA contact data.

Contacts are the “last mile” of data for sales and marketing teams to reach fleets.

Focus on larger fleets

About half of companies with vehicles have one vehicle. In FMCSA data, the vast majority of data is trucking owner-operators with one Class 8 tractor. If you’re looking for owner-operators, data is plentiful. But many of our customers are looking for fleets with more vehicles. Our data begins with 5+ vehicles. There’s no wading through mostly very small fleets, to find the fleets you want.

Company hierarchy

Enterprise sales teams are often looking for company hierarchy – parent companies and their subsidiaries, divisions and sister companies. This is useful if you’ve sold into one division, and want to explore fleets at other divisions and newly-acquired companies.

All company locations

Most data sources give only headquarters locations. We have data on all company locations. If a headquarters is in Michigan with  locations in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin, you will be able to find company data in all five states. So if you are in Wisconsin, this company’s fleet will be revealed for you, despite the headquarters being in another state. Our article about fleet locations explains more about this.

Search from very local to nationwide

Our plans aren’t geographic based, so you can search wherever you want. Search anywhere nationally, down to 5 miles around a ZIP code.

Download all data fields, send all to CRM

We don’t limit what data you can download. All data you see in our online database can be exported to use in Excel files, or sent to your CRM through our HubSpot and Salesforce integrations.

Our Salesforce integration is not a csv upload. It is a native Salesforce integration listed in the AppExchange. As a Salesforce ISV Partner for 15+ years, we can also help you to reveal compelling fleet data in your Salesforce objects.

Custom fleet data

If you’d rather have data provided to you instead of searching an online database, we can do custom files. We can give company demographics, all company contact info, fleet vehicle data, inspection, violation, safety/crash, VIN-level data, insurance data, and contacts with job titles, email, LinkedIn profiles.

No long-term contracts

We do not lock you in to multi-year contracts, nor prevent termination based only on contract time. Our terms and conditions are clearly communicated with all policies openly discussed.
